Coastal luxury interior design is about more than beautiful rooms, it’s about capturing the light, lifestyle, and rhythm of a place. As a designer, I’m always imagining the next project where coastal luxury feels effortless and deeply connected to its surroundings.
There are a few places I know I want to design in someday, not just for the luxury, but for the lifestyle, the light, the vernacular, and the story of each location.
Here are my top three cities I’m itching to design in (and why they inspire me).
I love the way 30A feels effortless.
There’s a rhythm to life there that’s warm, breezy, and unpretentious and it mixes so beautifully with the coast’s natural palette.
Why I want more projects here:
• light that makes color sing
• homes that feel like retreats, not showplaces
• materiality that’s deeply tactile
• the chance to do refined casual better than anyone
Design here would be about breathability, ease, and calm beauty.
Key West is the kind of place that makes you smile just walking down the street.
There’s color, history, weathered lines, quirky corners and a kind of creative license that whispers, “You can try anything here.”
What I imagine designing here:
• spirited palettes that feel joyful, not chaotic
• indoor–outdoor living taken to its highest expression
• furnishings that are fun yet timeless
• places that feel like vacation every day
Key West feels like a story you want to live in.
Then there’s St. Tropez, the French Riviera.
Design here is effortless chic. Airy forms meet sun-washed hues and a breeze that changes the whole light quality throughout the day.
Why St. Tropez tempts me:
• natural sophistication
• texture that feels rich and real (not just “expensive”)
• a palette that’s sun-kissed without being literal
• architecture that allows coastal luxury interiors to flow outdoors
Designing in St. Tropez would be living color, texture, and heritage all in one.
They all feel unavoidable.
Not trendy.
Not predictable.
They demand design that feels right for the place, not just pretty for social media.
They’re all coastal.
They all have stories. And they demand interiors that reflect how people actually live, beautifully, with intention.
If you have a second home in any of these three places… or you’re dreaming of one… let’s design something unforgettable together.
