2025 Holiday Style Guide: Embrace the Magic of a Jewel-Toned Christmas

November 24, 2025

Every Christmas season, my creative compass points in a brand-new direction. We’ve done a White Christmas, a Black Christmas, a Barbie Pink Christmas, a Disco Christmas… If there’s an aesthetic, I’ve probably dreamt it up, decorated for it, photographed it, and then immediately started planning the next one.

But this year felt different. This year I wanted warmth. Tradition. That nostalgic exhale that happens when you come in from the cold and stand in front of a crackling fire. I wanted a Christmas that felt like the kind of memory you don’t even realize you’re creating until years later.

And so, Holiday 2025 is all about jewel tones—the deep, moody, elegant colors that glow like gemstones under twinkle lights. Rich greens, velvety blues, and my forever obsession this time of year… burgundy.

If you’ve been following along, you already know I’ve been riding my burgundy era HARD. It’s the perfect anchor shade as you transition from fall to winter because it carries that warmth and depth of autumn, but still reads festive and polished in December. In a world where I’ve been very vocal about my aversion to classic red, let me just say—burgundy is a different sport entirely. If you know, you know.

The Ornament That Started It All

Every collection has a spark, and this year it came from my absolute favorite piece:
the Dimpled Multicolored Glass Ornament.

It’s this stunning little jewel—textured, moody, and full of autumn-toned color that somehow still feels luxurious and wintery. The moment I saw it, I knew this was the palette: elevated, warm, classic with a twist.

Of course, you can hang these on the tree (obviously), but one of my favorite ways to use ornaments is in a big marble bowl on a coffee table or console. It instantly creates a color moment that feels curated and intentional… and like you put way more effort in than you actually did.

Effortless magic. My favorite kind.

From New York to Paris to… Hugh’s South Africa

This collection also took shape thanks to a September trip to New York. Everywhere I turned—runway shows, Bergdorf’s windows, even people-watching in SoHo—I kept seeing these rich, gorgeous jewel tones. Fashion always finds its way into my design work, and this year the connection was instant.

Travel inspires everything we do. Our home holds memories from New York, Paris, and even influences from Hugh’s time in South Africa. It’s one of the things I love most about design—you can bring the whole world home with you.

Our Christmas Shoot: October Madness + North Pole Guests

Our lifestyle shoot for the collection was pure chaotic joy. First of all, we shot it in October, which meant step one was… removing the spiders, skeletons, and pumpkins from every corner of our house. For 24 hours, fall stepped aside and winter moved in HARD.

And then—not to brag—we had actual North Pole royalty show up.
Yes. Mr. and Mrs. Claus themselves.

Nothing makes your team giddier than Santa casually walking through your living room while you’re fluffing a wreath.

Like always, our Christmas shoot doubles as a mini cocktail party. Designers, our shop girls, the warehouse team, our bookkeeper—every single person who keeps this business running shows up and celebrates. It’s honestly one of my favorite nights of the year: Christmas music in October, cocktails in hand, and everyone laughing while we turn my home into a winter wonderland.

The Products That Make the Magic

Sprinkled throughout the collection are pieces that feel inviting, textural, and alive—little works of art that add warmth and whimsy to your holiday home. Here are a few of my favorites and how I love using them:

Dimpled Multicolored Ball Ornament

Luxurious. Moody. A tiny jewel for your tree.

The textured glass catches light like it’s been dusted with magic, and the colors shift from deep greens to warm burgundies—my entire holiday palette in ornament form. Place them on your tree or pile a few into a ceramic or marble bowl for an effortless coffee table moment.

Giant White Nutcracker

You know I love a statement piece, and this one is MASSIVE—in the chicest way. Clean, sculptural, and totally timeless, this modern white nutcracker is honestly a conversation starter. At nearly 40 inches tall, he flanks my fireplace like a guard of honor.

They flew off the shop floor, but you can still grab one on meganmoltenshop.com if you hurry.

He’s bold, playful, and somehow still minimalist. The perfect trifecta.

“Christmas Babe” by Abbey Mueller

Abbey is a dear friend and an absolute genius with a paintbrush. This piece captures everything I love about coastal holidays: a little whimsy, a lot of sunshine, and a reminder that Christmas doesn’t have to look the same everywhere.

A bikini, a beach, a Christmas tree—iconic.
Hang her in a beach house, a guest room, or as part of a holiday vignette that makes people smile. Available on paper or canvas, and both are archival so they’ll last forever.

Soft Plastic Willow Pine Wreath

Okay… this wreath.

It is the fluffiest, droopiest, most luxurious wreath I’ve ever styled. If I could use the word “oozes” without sounding weird, I would—because it truly oozes elegance.

The branches have this soft, effortless drape that feels less “I was fluffed for 30 minutes” and more “I naturally grew this perfect.” That’s the vibe.

Of course it’s stunning on the front door, but here are a few fun ways to use wreaths people don’t think about:

  • Around the base of a floral arrangement
  • As a frame for a large candle
  • On a mirror for a magical layered moment
  • In the center of a holiday tablescape

And because it’s faux, it comes back year after year—no shedding, no crumbling, just perfection.

The Meaning of This Collection

This year’s holiday line feels like a warm hug. It’s traditional without being predictable, festive without being chaotic, and colorful without being overwhelming.

It’s inspired by memories, travel, friendship, creativity, and that little spark we get every time the season comes around again.

I hope these pieces bring magic into your home—whether you’re building your first ornament collection or styling your hundredth wreath.

Here’s to a jewel-toned Christmas, full of warmth, whimsy, and a whole lot of burgundy.

Merry (early) Christmas from the MM team.
