As we approach the springtime & warmer months, I am so excited to share my lowcountry capsule swim collection with Shrimp & Grits Kids! Creating this collection was such a treat, and we really wanted to give that “Lowcountry Luxe” feel in every single piece. With pastel hues and scalloped shells, these styles are timeless and perfect for everyone in the family.
It was important to me for these designs to go beyond just aesthetics– a portion of every sale will support Yo Art, a Charleston-based nonprofit dedicated to fostering creativity and technological skills in the young minds of the Charleston area public school system. Encouraging today’s youth to explore their creative potential is a cause very near and dear to my heart. It truly feels like my duty to give back to the Charleston community just as they have believed in me and supported my creative endeavors.
My passion for style extends far beyond the walls of residential homes and interiors, and it’s been such a treat to work with Shrimp & Grits Kids to create this line of swimwear. To me, this collection is a celebration of “community, creativity, and the carefree spirit of summer”. Each piece was thoughtfully curated and crafted with my vision in mind, and I couldn’t be happier with how everything came together.
This collaboration between myself and Megan Hewitt of Shrimp & Grits Kids represents a union of minds in support of the community. It’s proof that something beautiful can be created when two creative forces collaborate together with philanthropy at the forefront.
I’ve included some behind the scenes inspiration that went into creating the final designs. It was truly a labor of love and I am so excited for you all to check it out. Thank you to the S&G team for entrusting me with creating this capsule collection, and I hope you all love it as much as my family and I do!
Fun Fact: We shot these promotional photos in our backyard, the Mod Pod Pool Pad! It’s a project we’ve been dreaming of for a while now, and I’m so excited we’re able to now enjoy it and create so many memories here as a family! (Matching swimmies included, obviously.)
Thank you for tuning in to learn more about this collaboration! For more, feel free to check out the Shrimp & Grits Kids website here.
