Scotts Creek Kitchen & Baths

We were so excited to return to an amazing client's home and take on designing a new kitchen and bathrooms! Nothing makes a house feel more modern than updating these rooms. We worked alongside Salt Marsh Contracting to deliver beautiful, completely renovated spaces. Starting off with the kitchen ~ the family loved having an open living room, breakfast area and kitchen however the layout of the island made the space feel closed off and dated. We updated the space to become clean, classy and a bit coastal.

When working with clients we provide them with presentation boards to better visualize all of the selections together. The Megan Molten team chooses everything including light fixtures, furnishings, hardware, plumbing, paint color, cabinetry and counter tops. How much do we all love this showstopper light fixture?! We also chose the Rivera Counter Stools from Serena and Lily as they are both a stylish staple and great for children { super easy to wipe down}.

The biggest WOW moment for this kitchen is the new island. This special oversized island is truly the focal point of the space and has TONS of storage! We included a built in sink, gold hardware and plumbing, quartz countertops and painted the island Benjamin Moore Boothbay Grey for a pop of color. I am loving the design trend of creating an all white kitchen (which we all know & love) and adding in some color and dimension with the kitchen island.

We design to-scale elevations for the clients to review and the contractors to use while installing. While creating the dream island, we incorporated thoughtful uses to make it the most functional ~ including a trash pull out, dishwasher, deep drawers and cabinetry for extra storage. We also added a sink to the island as it has the largest counter space in the kitchen.

Check out the before and afters to see how we transformed our client's kitchen from dated and dark to modern and bright! We opened up the space by removing the previous countertops and cabinetry, added an amazing island, open shelving, a new hood and backsplash! Can you believe this is the same space?!

After removing the cabinetry and adding in floating shelving and a stunning hood it was time to accessorize. I love how open shelves can showcase beautiful kitchen items and glassware. Adding in a cookbook, jars and planters to the countertops leaves the space feeling finished! Pro tip ~ style cutting boards behind the stove against the backsplash for some dimension and functional styling.

We also updated both the hall bathroom and the upstairs boys' bathroom. We loved getting to design two bathrooms with completely different looks! For the hall bathroom we chose a pretty in pink look ~ custom pink wallpaper by Jennifer Latimer complimented by gold fixtures.

Our presentation boards break down the tile, fixtures, paint colors, artwork and accessories. We review the selections with our clients and make any adjustments they may have before ordering, warehousing and inspecting all items prior to installation.

Adding custom finishes such as wallpaper and a new vanity makes the space feel inspired. I love how pattern can be playful and make smaller spaces more visually interesting. Check out the before and afters to see how we took a basic bathroom and turned it into the fun and fabulous space it now is!

Next up- add in layers! We styled the vanity with a faux fern and orchid for an always finished look. I adore the Charleston Peninsula print by 42 Pressed {available on our shop!} framed in an acrylic frame. Adding in accessories that are easy breezy, compliment the space and make it feel complete is my favorite part!

I love how the details of the shower turned out. The bright white herringbone tile paired with gold plumbing fixtures compliments the pink wallpaper.

Last but not least we updated the upstairs boys' bathroom. I love how this adorable space turned out! Boy rooms can be so much fun to work on. Using wallpaper in small areas is a fun way to maximize the space. I love how this Serena and Lily Feather Wallpaper is gender neutral and a settle way to bring in the FUN! We replaced the vanity and fixtures as well as retiled the space to create a bright modern look for the boys to enjoy and grow with.

The presentation boards break down all the elements that we incorporate into the space. We love receiving input from our clients and giving them a peek into what the final look will be of the design.

LOVE this before and after! Seeing how small changes can make such a big impact on a space is surreal! Design goes so much further than picking out furnishings ~ we love to assist in complete remodels choosing the tile work, countertops, paint colors and hardware. Maximizing the space and making it both functional and beautiful is always our goal!

Adding in those final touches such as this piece of artwork by local artist, Chelsea Goer and some greenery brings the whole look together. I love how the gold fixtures look paired with the navy blue vanity.
